964 RSR Inspired Replica
This is my way to say hello to this forum.
After just reading all these amazing threads of building and rebuilding some nice Carreras I want to share my own version of a lightweight Carrera 4.
These are some things i have done:
Complete gutting of the interior
Weight reduction of about 210 kilos
Complete paintjob including interior
Recaro Pole Position seats and consoles
Schroth belts
RS door panels
RS ducts
Cup front splitter
Cup mirror
Momo V35 Sport steering wheel
Radio and wiring removed
Switch panel instead of radio
Air conditioning and wiring assembly removed
Makrolon rear and rear side windows
Porsche 996 GT3 wheels
RS motor vehicle without air conditioning holder
Techart Cuprohr
Single-mass flywheel
Sachs Sport clutch
Rigid motor mounts
Removal of the large windscreen washer fluid tank
Headlight cleaning system was Removed
All add-on parts ( and motor parts ) were new yellow chromated
Engine Revision:
New are :
• Cylinder
• inlet valves
• exhaust valves
• valve springs
• Brombacher camshaft
• timing chains
• Slide rails
• Connecting rod bolts
• All bearings and seals
Have been revised :
• Cylinder heads (planning , valve guides , conversion to cylinder with seal )
• Oil pump
• Connecting rods
• Crankshaft
Next thing to come is a Bilstein B16 PSS10
Let me know what you think...

I think you win the introduction post award this year!!
OMG! Wow, just wow.
The work you've done on the interior is just amazing! I love seeing the car's color inside, it looks so honest and simple. Nice routing of the black heater duct hoses.
You've done a fantastic job of hiding everything behind the shorter dashboard knee panel. Very clean.
Is the interior dramatically louder naked like this?
Tell us more about the switches, is one a spoiler switch?, the key image is to turn on the power?, what's "F"??.
Gorgeous finish on the engine fan too.
It must feel so alive!

Yes, it is LOUD - really loud...
The panel for the switches is made from a thick aluminum. I machined it to perfect size, drilled the holes, put the switches in and that's it.
The upper part of the shifting **** is a lightweight universal Aluminum **** of E-Bay - the lower part is a carbon fiber part (with a black paint job) that I managed to fit to the upper part

Incredible 964 ****. Mine is a daily driver, but i really would love to turn it into a beast like yours. How did you attach the **** to our factory shifter? I am looking into this as we speak. Is the carbon fiber shaft just a cosmetic sleeve?

First of all: thx for all the nice words!
Cosmetic sleeve is the best way to describe the carbon fibre shaft.
I machined a aluminum shims that connects the universal shift **** to the factory shifter, thats why the carbon fibre shaft is no bearing component.
