Wow. That won’t last long...
wondering why, if it’s a ROW car, KPH speedo etc. does it have the US bumperettes?
nice collection in that garage. Where is the car located?
I asked the same question, presumably added stateside. Corners might have been replaced. I'll ask if stock are available.
All I want to know is when did the term Sunroof Delete enter the car collecting vernacular - S/R's are an option that are added not deleted. One could delete a S/R by removing it after car was made with one but you can't delete something that was never there.

i could be wrong but every US car was delivered with a sunroof, you could not delete it. You could for ROW cars, hence the term. Deleting one after the fact is great for a track car, but kills the originality for collectors and those concerned with price appreciation
Pretty simple really.

You are correct Sir. How about ROW without a Sunroof. Did not mean to spark debate over retractable roof. The post was meant for interested parties to contact me if there is interest in this example. I try to do the same over at the 993 forum.

Almost all US spec 964's had optional sunroofs installed, RSA's had S/R's listed as an option and on US Carrea Cups S/R's were not available, many ROW 964's did not have have the optional S/R

Wrong. As previously mentioned, ALL US 964’s came with a sunroof except the RSAs and other very limited production models where you could choose to delete it along with AC stereo etc. Your making this a lot more confusing than it needs to be. All US C2 and C4 coupes (and I believe turbos) came with a sunroof and it could not be deleted.
I agree regarding the sunroof. I came across 2 US spec 964 coupes other than RSA's that were delivered without a sunroof and they carried option code 652 (sunroof Delete). Otherwise all US spec 964 coupes and turbos etc came from the factory with option code 650 sunroof as standard 'optional' equipment. I would assume if the sunroof was actually an option there would be no reason for an option code to delete it. No doubt this applies differently to ROW models which came standard without sunroof like the RSA and would require option code 650 to add it.
If the car was imported pre 25 years old the bumperets would have been added for DOT compliance.
Car looks amazing. More details would be helpful.
PM me if you are interested in the vehicle. As you can see and read the post has turned into a debate over sunroof delete options as opposed to raising interest in the car offering. Since I was a kid all my cars need to have a sunroof. That is a must for me. As I am originally from what you would call a ROW destination, before I came to live in the US, I had to add the option of the sunroof whenever I had the fortune of spec'ing a car. So for me this is not a big deal. LIke I said if there is genuine interest in this ROW 964 please PM me.
He’s playing hard to get. He has owned the car for almost a decade, it’s meticulously maintained, I’m sure he’s attached to it. I offered him a good amount and he wants to think about it. I’m likely going to see if I can view it again in person and bring a few grand in cash for a deposit. I’m confident this is a high $$$ car
I've been looking around the market for a 964, and I stumbled across an ad for one that seemed too cheap to be true. The catch? That 964 has a branded title that the ad claims to be from a "theft recovery from a long time ago". Obviously branded title cars will never be worth as much as a clean title car; but how much of a showstopper is that/should that be, assuming it really was just a theft recovery with no damage otherwise? Would you consider, let alone buy, a 964 with a branded title?
