Great AMERICAN 964s for sale

I found a 1993 C2 manual coupe, white on black with only 42k miles, all OEM paint and meticulously maintained. The owner originally said he was willing to sell but wanted to wait a bit. I wanted to offer him a "real market" price for his car. I sold a 1992 C2 manual coupe last year that wasn't in nearly the same condition and had 100k miles for $55k. I'm not sure where the market is at right now but some advice on a fair selling price would be helpful.

From what I’ve seen tbe market has cooled off, but then again the good cars don’t last long at all. Red car above is a good example...hard to say what the seller “thinks” it’s worth, some guys have unrealistic expectations and just price things way high hoping the right buyer will come along. Which seems like a waste of time to me,as almost anyone looking for a 964 will know exactly what the market is. I’d say tbe white car is worth $70k assuming it needs nothing. You’d be doing really well at $65k.
I've searched around pretty hard and you can't find many examples of a 1993 sub 50k mile car, OEM paint, white on black, and a very well maintained. I agree that getting in at $65k would be a good buy for me but once he does his market research, I'm guessing he'll settle on $75-80k. I could see it easily moving on Rennlist at that price as you won't find another example like this one. I wasn't in the market for a 964 but this is the exact car I was looking to buy and cosmetically/mechanically its perfect. Ideally I'd want to update the suspension and put Cup 1's on it.

the challenge is finding enough data points to actually draw a conclusion for market price. This is more and more becoming "its worth what someone will pay" market. Which is frustrating when you are the buyer, I totally get it.

was purchased within the last year in same price range as noted by others in this thread. Extremely happy with my purchase. Hope this helps.
And remember for the most part you "Buy the seller not the car" Good Luck!

Agreed, these are the 16” Cup Wheels, Cup I are 17”. Likely the original wheels for the car though, not a bad thing.
The car looks fantastic and I think your pricing is correct in the $70’s. I haven’t seen any slow down in the market either, in fact it seems the nice examples with no stories go very quickly and at a premium price. Good luck, hope you get it!
