Don't sell yourself short there were actually only 96 targas sold in the US for 1990. Adrian's numbers are correct just subtract 60 for each vin number as all vins started at 061 and not 001 as he has in his book.

Failed to post this a few weeks ago. Found this in the search to get my 964. Sold before I could get it. Don't have a lot of info on it.

'91 Targa black, tan interior, 92,280 miles, D90 wheels, partial respray a few years ago, no major accident hstory, restored targa top, new rotors & pads, 80% tires, recent clutch, engine reseal, some oil lines, leakdown & compression within factory spec, paint is presentable with some small chips and slight color mismatch in a couple areas, interior is good with some signs of use and age with one small rip in passenger seat leather but no other major defects, stereo is there but not working, a/c operates but isn't cold, speedo looks bad at night. $35,000 drove it 300+ miles home without a problem

Along with these as well. I know the second car well from a previous owner. It is a nice example however it has hidden issues and the paint is not the best. Unless he corrected some items I would be cautious. He is asking the most for it. I can only assume the others have issues as well.

He is a dealer who goes by the name of Alex. He's based out of Los Angeles and asks top top dollar for his cars, so they sit and sit for months/years unsold. I would recommend anyone doing business with him to do your due diligence researching and also get a full PPI including leakdown/compression tests before purchasing.

No first hand experience, but I recall hearing something about him on the 993 board.

I would second the bad experience with "Alex" at Velocity. I went to look at 2 or 3 of his cars over the years, and they were expensive and in condition far below what was described.
