do people who have fitted breather catch cans for removing the oil feed back tot he intake use the orig sized pipes?
They seem to be very large for a breather and most breathers I've found use narrower pipes.

Holding the level too low is an popular failure, I have seen it a lot, because of the missunderstandig of the oil system!

Indeed, a light circuit not closing somewhere is likely - if a latch switch is the culprit try just closing it off with a screwdriver in the latch itself to test. Did you find a lid light anywhere?

Only other thing is do you have an aftermarket alarm fitted? With doors or front/rear lids open this will certainly draw current - I've had this issue in the past.

Temperatures are below zero. Should I place a few, portable, oil radiator heaters in the garage, or am I just throwing money away?

Is your garage insulated

The air-cooled engine was developed by the Germans to cope with the harsh winters! As long as you have a properly tuned engine and a strong battery, there won't be a problem.

My car also likes a blanket, a bear and a nightlight.

Just had it happen again .
Super90, When my 90 C2 Targa engine deck lid is open, a spring-activitated switch mounted on the lower left end of the lid (when facing the engine) will be engaged and this will turn on the engine deck lid light.

The engine deck lid light is housed in a small rectangular clear plastic cover flushed in the mid-section or center area underneath the deck lid. When the engine deck lid light switch is engaged (i.e. lid open, on position), the frunk light located on the passenger side (U.S. vehicle) underneath the hood will also be turned on. This is regardless of whether the hood is open or not.

So if you simply remove the light in the frunk while your rear deck is open, you should not have any further current drain. Hope this helps to address your issue.

The garage is not insulated. I did lay tarps underneath each car to absorb any moisture from the cold concrete.

They're US spec bumperettes. You can always swap them out for the euro spec reflector.

The part number is 964-505-263-00. Where to buy it? You can get it from any Porsche parts supplier. I buy my factory parts from Sunset Porsche.

I glued mine on with 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Its held for over a decade.

This is a good recent thread on NA-T 3.6 builds. If your car is already stock, a cup pipe and a chip will get you a noticeable bump in hp for 10% of the turbo cost, which will net you closer to 75-100hp.
