Default Stripping a 964 for a ready for paint

Considering saving a bit by stripping the car myself, then taking it to a shop to get any rust sorted and then painted. Does anyone have a complete list of all the items that have to be taken off to prep it for this work?

Bumpers
All lights
Front and rear screens
Door handles
Sunroof?
Arch liners

Anything else? And what seals would I need to replace?

Depends on the quality of the finish your after.
More you remove the better the finish.

I stripped mine for paint a while ago.
Rolling shell.
But you could go further.

Screen washer nossels, bonnet and boot badges, license plates. Dismantle rear spoiler unit so that can be prepped and painted separately from the engine lid, remove door mirrors

do not damage the washer nozzles rubber gasket as this is not available from Porsche or any one unless you buy the complete washer nozzle.

ask how I know
Also you might want to remove the bonnet surround rubber but this is glued down and is a pain to remove all remaining bits of trace rubber. the fresh air intake grill two screws try pulling out the scuttle to wing rubbers (these will be destroyed upon removal and need replacing anyway)
