Thought I would start a new thread on the changes I am planning for my car. It is a C4, cobalt blue. My original idea was to go for a lightweight c4 rep but I dont think I want to go so far. So just planning a few improvements.
Already done:
-RS clutch and flywheel
-Rear Wiper Delete
-G pipe and 100 cell cat
-Lowering springs
-RS brake scoops
Stage 1 To do:
-Bilsteins (planning on fitting myself)
-Dumping spare wheel (I know about the crash stuff but not bothered)
-Wheel spacers
-RS engine mounts
Stage two:
Not sure yet.. maybe go more lightweight but not looking to go full RS replica
I've got similar things planned this year... New Bilsteins, springs, RS engine mounts. I look forward to seeing your progress and probably asking your advice!
Which springs do you have now? Your car looks great! Fab colour!
And now with repainted wheels, clear indicators and RS ducts. Also tidied up the wiper delete with an alluminium bung..painted black so it does not stand out. Had a horrid plastic one before that leaked..
Glad your keeping it jack...sounds like a good list of mods & mines still got the creature comforts with the rs ish look thing going on & spoke to frank today at the 964 meet and there's a Porsche night at the ace cafe next week I'm planing to go to and you can drive mine as I have the Billy's & h&r purple springs so not to firm & see if you likey!! If you can make it down there that be good...
What size spacers are you going with? Are your Cup II wheels the OEM +55 7/9" versions? I have those and want to space them out too, but I think i'm going to go w/ the bolt-on spacers versus adding extended studs.

They are OEM but not sure what version, did not know there was more than one.. in any case I have 8mm at the front and 18mm at the back, bolt on types...extended studs are a pain to fit

8mm shims wil reduce your stud length significantly. I wouldn't run that setup on track.

The OEM are 7/9" +55. The OEM ones will have the +55 marked next to the valve stem.
The aftermarket are usually 8/9" and like +47 or +45 (basically a more aggressive fitment).
Love this profile shot, shows how pretty and simple the 64 is. Plus that color just makes me smile. Too bad you guys have to have the front fender turn signal lights, ruins the smooth lines.
Of course I'm a big fan of black wheels and after looking at your pictures, colored crests might be the perfect complement to them.
If your MMs are sagging, you won't believe how much better the car will feel with RS MMs.
Don't worry too much about about Stage 2, it's stunning already!
