Default Combine the 964/993 forums?

Has this been proposed before?

Wouldn't it make sense, considering the shared similarities of the cars, and the relatively low production numbers?

I often find technical topics being rehashed separately in each forum.

Flame away! :-)

I see this too, but I also see lots more touchy-feely type topics and petty/personal stuff going back and forth on the 993 subforum that I rarely see on the 964 subforum.

Good question.

IMHO I like it the way it is. Both forums have their own distinct culture and vibe. I wander through the 993 forum often but the reality is the cars are unique enough that the forums should stay separate.

No. And let me state the obvious...its more fun to have our own and not exactly hard to cross reference as you already seem to be managing to do - well done!

What would be gained by doing so?

It's not broke, so doesnt need fixing

Do 964 owners really want to be bombarded with questions like, "which wax is best for my hardback seats?" or requests to "gather the posse and let's lynch Bruce Anderson!"

Pelican has 964/993 site combined and vibe there is definitely hostile.
I spend as much time on this board as I do the 964 Turbo board. There's tons of good info and cool cars over here. I wouldn't want to see this board polluted with 993 concerns.

Man, you guys are rough! Not all 993 owners have garage queens and can't change their own oil.
