DP Motorsports also has a similar system (pictured a couple pages back):
DP says, "...This system is only for fresh air. In addition, there is a small electric heater installed under the dashboard to heat the footwell a little bit."
Original weight: Klimagerät 12.000g (air conditioner)
Replacement weight: 300 g

...so after ripping out the heavy and complicated air vent system (in my dream 964), now it's time to attack the engine bay... (remember, dreaming here)
OMG this would look so stunning in a 964 engine bay! (...without the clunky looking AC compressor and without heater blower motor)

Thanks for the positive comments too. I have the car at home to do some shakedown testing. She's running rich and needs a road map which we will be doing next week, but blimey! What an engine. So far I haven't touched the sides! We still have plenty to do to call her finished but by the New Year we should be able to officially call the project finished (for now!). So looking forward to the spring and getting as much track time in as possible next year in between normal road use. I will post more detail at some point but for now I'm just enjoying having her with me after a year!

Hi Fitcherama,
congrats, beautiful car! Any concrete plans already for track time with her?
All my cars which where referenced earlier in this thread got sold and my new project should be finished early may. Had some similar ideas on my project list and it would be great to meet somewhere in Europe, have a chat....
Spa Francochamps, Nordschleife...??

New DP Motorsport project in one of my favorite longhood colors: Signal Yellow!
As you can see, this is going to be a "FULL" rebuild. Yummy!

no idea, but Googled "Plastimo" on the packaging, and found out it's a marine hatch spring!
