Excellent photo diary of the work done. Looks fantastic!
Regarding the RS style bonnet strut, I had thought about putting one of those on too but my concern is that the heavy steel C2 bonnet could lead to it giving way? Especially since it was only designed to hold up an aluminum RS bonnet. Your 917K version looks very robust though!

Rephlex,
Wow, what a rebuild. Another 964 has been saved! My favorite color too.
(quick hijack)
This one looks pretty sturdy, from Rothsport racing: Hood prop rod kit as used on 911, 964 & 993 RS & RSR models.

Popped in to Nine Excellence this afternoon (couldn't resist a detour) and the 9e cat bypass and cup pipe are on;
Hope you don't mind the pic overload, I've got nothing else to do...

Nice sound. Quite loud, isn`t it?
My car left my parking slot for rebuild four month ago, i don`t kown anymore how these cars cry...
Have you anything done on engine internals?!
regards

Engine is standard, has done 89k and compression tested well. Hopefully this will give me time to win the lotto before I have any more major expense. So the exhaust and the chip is the extent of any "tune".

Noise will be fine for Spa
My guess is that you'll be close to the 105 db static test level for most UK tracks. Bolting on a decibel devil to the tail pipe will probably get you on those tracks. It took 3 db of Cheeksyboy's noise IIRC.

Thanks, that was my expectation. I had my eye on the decibel devil following the thread a few months back and 9e will probably be making an equivalent to fit their tailpipe.

If 9e offer a bolt-on to their own tip then that would be much better.
