Ahh but fix it well and you'll double your money! At least the specialists can sort this out as it is a common problem will old pork.
I suppose you'll want to borrow the trailer too? ;o)

Made a bit of progress today stripping the front end and had a good look round,I suspect it has had both front wings replaced at some point both have certainly been off previously, the oil cooler and front aluminium bumper have also been replaced have tonbridge opc stickers still attached so looks as though it has maybe had a front end tap at some point. The tub is spot on with no sign of damage so all pretty good really some overspray here and there from some of the countless bits of paint it has had.
Made a start on removing the wing/fender all pretty straightforward other than a couple of retaining bolts behind the AC plumbing which I think I can probanly get, or should I pull the ac drier etc ?

Hi there Gaz,
You're really getting stuck in there now. How many bolts have you snapped off so far?
We had another run out today that you would have enjoyed, we even managed to get onto your side of the border again for a short while.
Hope to see you out and about again soon so head down and a##e up for the next few months.
Cheers,
Thomas

Hope you had a good blast today Thomas will catch up on the other forum
only had to use the dremel twice so far it also helps when half of the bolts/screws that are meant to be there are missing.still juggling the house extension with car restoration so back together for spring ready for a run to the north east.

Small bit of progress today got the passenger wing off had hoped to get the AC lines out the way making it easier to get to the bolts at the inside/top of the wing but nuts under the sill were seized solid so a bit of fiddling to get the bolts out. contemplating removing the AC altogether not a huge requirement for Scottish summers
Good news is the inner wing is spot on with the rust localised to the corner of the windscreen.

Bought my 964 a couple of weeks ago, came complete with rust in the same place plus a bleb on the rear edge of the rear quarter. Had a quote of £1k to get it sorted as I'm not sure I'm brave enough to have a go myself..
Does anyone know if the trim between the wing and scuttle are still available?
