What a great evening at Donington. Once again Boxsey organised good weather, it must have rained all around but the first drops I noticed all evening were as I took the chequer at 20:30hrs. Will try and edit and post my video this week (which'll beat Frank!!!!)

Had a quick look at my own video and there's a little car facing the wrong way in it!

While we are waiting for some videos , here's a clip showing me following Steve's white car......the exciting bit is a green Caterham driven by a Frenchman who either did not understand the briefing re overtaking only on left (!) , only on the straight (!) , only with consent (!)......or maybe he just wanted to stay ahead of the chasing trio of Ferraris !!!
The Ferraris were not the usual streetcar that dare not be used , but proper ones

caterham could have easily caused an accident there...what was he thinking? Those older 328 fezzas look cool.
looks a fun event.
Got Brands GP Thursday. Silencer I bought (Decibel Devil) wont fit (oval shaped exhaust and needs to be almost perfectly cyclindrical to fit!) so will take it as it comes.

Donington Park Monday 13th August 2012 (evening)
The Rennlist UK 964 trackday club duly assembled for our meeting at Donington Park last night. In attendance were Oldtimer (orange 964C2 track car), ChrisW (Maritime 964RS clubsport), Pesty (cobalt blue 964C2), Cheeksyboy (Westfield substituting for the Hornet) and yours truly (GP white 964C2).
Weather was fair and dry and there was a wide variety of machinery on track (which was mostly well behaved). Numbers were relatively light so there was plenty of track space. All of us enjoyed the evening out and went home unscathed.
Here's a little video from my car of a couple of laps. Watch out for ChrisW passing me and my attempt to keep him in sight and a cameo appearance from Cheeksyboy who does a little dance in the chicane

Was that me towards the end of that vid? Edit no a)because I'm not that good and b)i don't remember a car spinning in front of me.
A great evening out. Really enjoyed it once I'd warmed up after a few hours really was all over the place at the beginning.

That was Chris in his Maritime RS ngt. Glad you enjoyed it mate. I presume that was the family with you? If any of them want a passenger ride next time, just ask.

Left my editted video rendering so shall post tonight.....it starts with the 944/968 spinning in the same place, and includes a few laps chasing the Fezza (which appears to be for sale "...only been raced on a few occasions ...." here

Love the colour of your car.
Well they certainly didn't seem to keen to jump into the Westy 'for a spin'

Cheers. I hope it was later on when I was actually moving fast
I think you got where that french car overtook on craner at the start of the day.
There was a really slow BMW on the right but he was not indicating so I didn't go past. When I though it was safe to do so anyway after realising he was sticking to the right permanently the space to the left was filed with a green caterham I could have easily collected it as I went left.
Off topic I sold the driver of that BMW a red cavalier SRI about 15 years ago.
true story.
