KaiB, Did you replace roof with a CF or fiberglass unit? How much of a hassle was that if you did /
Also noted comment "and the power steering pump." Did you add an electrical driven steering pump.
Would appreciate more info on this if you did as I want to do same - but am stumbling around on type of pump unit to use and install process.

The PS pump is a Cup Car unit; we pulled the RSA rack (it's in a very nice car now, cheers Bob) and installed a standard race, plumbed to the pump. Steering is absolutely lovely!!!
The sunroof was peeled off and replaced with a standard skin from an older car.

Thanks - looks good, you replaced the full steering rack assembly- what is significant difference ?/
From th top pic you did take everything out - guess that is the best way to go light.

Yes, the entire rack was replaced.
Cost effective in that many people would like a manual rack; they sell for decent $$.
With the big slicks (245s up front) and given the effort required in most corners, I absolutely LOVE my new system.

Can you tell me please what is the make/part number of the front bumper spoiler? I have been thinking of adding one and that looks pretty good.
Cheers,
Thomas

Thank you Ghengis!
Here is the link to the front spoiler. I looked at a bunch and finally decided on this one. I am very happy with the result.

At the same time, airbags can go, some of the lower dash, all of the stereo, the A/C and whatever else you can live without.
This winter, pull the carpets and all of the soundproofing - I have a RS carpet kit somebody can then purchase (tehe).

Given your car, which is where I started, I'd loose the rear deck/spoiler in favor of a Getty lid, the exhaust and all the crap associated with it, the rear seat delete and the factory seats.

Kai,
That's amazing, here is factory set up sheet for my 964 US Carerra Cup, 2531 dry. Some weight has been pulled out since then but still not anywhere near that light.

Phil, the doors are an easy 100#, no bumper beams F or R, the wire loom about 12#, brakes and uprights(I think) loose over you, and the tiny Tilton clutch/flywheel assy looses one heck of a lot. Maybe Lexan does the rest.
I (harumph) have no air jacks. Yet. Wish to hell now we'd put them in this time around.
I have to use 40# ballast for NASA and 80# for PCA.

Just a few questions since you are on this subject. One has come up I have a 70 911 E and I have been told that these cars are lighter than alot of newer cars and my brother has been buggin me to clean it out and put a bigger motor in it and take it to the track as the car will be alot lighter right off the bat.
A nice 3.2 or 3.6 engine and we are ready to go what you guys think ???
With all the other prep of course .....
