I could not find the easy to understand DIY for removing the throttle cable at the engine. Because I would have loved to have down that.

Stephane
I also dropped the engine multiple times this past winter. Each time I disconnected from the pedal.
Even after the engine sat on the ground, I had to undo a few areas on the back of the engine to get the cable off. It just doesn't hang free when you turn the barrel on the throttle linkage and release it. (Stephane, you likely know Myles) he says to do it from the engine also, BUT, just maybe, it's different on a Tip.

About a year later the engine is back in. Again we used Adrian's book as a guide. Some pointers:
- install the flexible orange heater ducts on chassis side while engine is still out
- as you get about 2-4" away you can hook up starter & starter ground, ATF lines.
- go slow we almost pinched an oil line
- if you use 993 c4 mounts you need an extra deep 19mm socket for the engine mount bolts
With the ATV jack and my lift this was very straightforward
Once again thanks to rennlister Stevepaa for his help today
