Thank you turbotwoshoes.
For clarity, my former web host has packed in, and my new web page is placed here.

Cheers,

Default You are welcome!

I use it everyday since my 964 is my daily driver. It works flawlessly. Installation was easy and I don't have to use the stubborn door locks any longer!

I purchased the t-lock and the scan tool cable, vie still to fit the lock but the rest, service, quality and aftercare is superb.

I would definitely recommend tore's products.

I'm a happy chap with him.

After over 3 years of opening and closing with the key I bought Tore's kit last week

Arrived in 3 days and took an hour to fit. Very easy (bit fiddly on an early car upside down under the dash but thats all) and I'm no good with car electrics

Works perfectly, so very happy

Thank you Tore

I like the look of the remote lock setup.

How does one acquire the open software to run the OBD?
Can someone tell us how they like it?

Hi C didy, my website has a download link for all the software needed for running Rennlist Scantool in a modern PC environment. See the link just below the T-OBD Paypal link.
Cheers,
Tore

I think (hope) I've given Santa enough hints that I'd like the T-lock under the tree this Christmas!!

The software basically does the same functions as a hammer would allow?

I have also asked Santa for a T-Lock.
Scantool software doesn't open the PDAS locks for bleeding like the Hammer does, but it does supply a lot of good info and can clear the airbag code. My airbag light has stayed off for a couple months now.

Thanks for trusting me folks.
As far as I have been able to find out myself, Scantool does all the things that the Hammer does, except for the ABS/PDAS bleeding procedures. However, the hammer seem to be able to autodetect version differences in the different OBD-equipped units, and thus be able to connect to all variants over the years.
Scantool can have problems contacting some air bag controllers, (some late 993's have 996 air bag controllers) and especially the Motronic engine control unit if the car is equipped with the Porsche Drive Block system. (993 immobilizer)
Some are able to work around this using a connect/disconnect method described in a tip file included in my downloadable, but some cannot. It seems to be a shortcoming in the software itself.

Santa Claus is ready for take off with a sack full of T-OBD's here folks. Order a T-Lock as well and get a $10 multiple item refund.
Cheers,
Tore
