JZM have sold the Cobalt blue C4 @ £28,900. Convinced myself I was going to buy that in the New Year. He who hesitates loses out - Drat.

£30K is pretty good value because it would cost a lot more than that to buy a 964C2 and turn it into race spec. That one was raced by Kevin Harrison over the last two seasons. Unfortunately 964 race cars are regularly going up for sale now because most drivers don't think they can compete with latest 996 race cars which were introduced this year.

Short answer is yes but they have a strange power to weight ratio formula which lead to the 996s having a much better power to weight ratio than any other model. Coupled with the more sophisticated suspension, they simply romped away from the field once they'd improved reliability. The rumors are that most of the class 1 field will be 996s next year.
