Default Locating Secondary Oil Cooler Plumbing

I've pulled the trigger on putting together a kit for a secondary oil cooler. I got a great deal on a cooler, but was really surprised at the cost of everything else needed.

Here is a list of the items I am looking for

Metric m30x1.5 female to -12AN adaptor.........need 3
Metric m30x1.5 male to -12AN adaptor..........need 1
180 degree bend -12AN hose end.........need 2
150 degree bend -12AN hose end.........need 1
Straight -12AN hose end.........need 1
-12AN Aeroquip braided stainless hose. 13ft or so

Total ~$300

Other than www.batinc.net, does anyone know of a source where I can find these items at more of a reasonable price? Or am I just SOL and being unrealistic here?

Pegasus carry a huge selection of fittings so you could try there.

Try BAT, I just got all mine for 258 shipped including the hose. Pays to shop around on this stuff.

Make sure you ask for the internet deal on the hose.

BAT is up at $324 before shipping ...

Patrick Motorsports wants $317 ...

So I'm thinking this is simply going to be the price of these pieces.

No...no you can't complain at all.

Are you placing it beneath the left front fender?

Slight hijack:
I notice you are going with -12 hoses, is that the recommended size? I am going to be adding a cooler myself, and I was thinking -16, but I don't really know why I was thinking of going that big.

Also, care to share where you got your $200 cooler?

Thanks

While on this topic, what size plug do you need to plug up the sensor hole on the second cooler?

Cheers, James

Paulie, I'll have an answer for you tomorrow on the thread pitch for the plug.

Also, for anyone that's interested. BAT has received some NOS on some fittings and I just ordered all my stuff for this project for 225.00 delivered. Talk to Eric, he was super helpful.

Cheers, James

-12 is fine. BAT is a great source. Although more expensive, I'd suggest the Kevlar cloth hose, over the braided steel hose. If you do a search on Racecar Project, I have a series of photos that shows what you need and how to do it.
