See the DIY ;-)

M6 bolt (meaning 6 mm). The hole must be 9 mm to hold the nut. If you have to make alternative hole as shown in the guide you have to go down one size to have enough metal to work with (drill in).

Thanks Thomas. I scoured the text of the DIY for the bolt size but didn't see anything...but have now spotted that the size is noted on pic 2
