I have a gallon of the stuff in my garage ready to go in my transmission! My gearbox is also pretty notchy so I am hoping for similar results. I have a locking diff so I bought their friction modifier too.

I've also experienced smoother shifting with Redline 75/90.

not hard, first try to lossen the upper bolt where new fluid should go in. After you have succeeded this, loosen the lower bolt. Now the fluid poors out. Put the lower bolt back in, after all the oill had drained. Remove metal particles from the lower bolt when its out, it works as a magnet. If there are metal chunck instead of small metal parts on the magnetic bolt, you are experiencing some problems probably int the transmission (small chance, but you never know).

Then put the lower bolt back in with a new aluminium ring around it ($2,- or so at a parts shop/dealer). Then fill it with the correct amount of new transmission oil. Then close the upper bolt with also a new aluminium ring.

Thats it:

what youy need:
-2 jackstands for the back or a bridge to get the car high enough for you to get under.
-tranmission fluid with a (long) tube to get it in the transmission case
- 2 new aliminium rings for the bolts
- the right tools to losen the two bolts (i don't know the sizes by heart, maybe someone else could reply this)

good luck, takes about maybe 1-2 hours the first time if you do it very slowely. next time maybe 30 minutes, probably less.

+1 +1 +1
That's the first and best piece of advice... :-) Always be sure you can loosen the FILL plug before you do the drain plug. Ask me how I know...

I agree that you need to make sure the filler plug will come off first ...they sometimes get baked on..however if you screw up you can always flip the car over and fill it..

That section (964 DIY) has been pretty slow the last couple years or so. Neglected, you might even say - although most of the important procedures and tips have already been posted (with a lot of great info), it would be nice to see new techniques being discussed.
