Rubber mount for air filter housing
My rubber mount that supports the aif filter housing has broken in two. Pelican shows parts that look correct, but one is for the oil cooler, and one is for the oil tank. Anyone know a source for the rubber mount for the air filter housing? TIA

Just did this last week for a '90 C4. This is what I found at Pelican Parts.
Part needed - "Bonded Rubber Buffer" # 930 110 579 01
Search -
Part superseded to # 999 703 265 00
Click on that -
Search results - "Bonded Rubber Buffer" 999 703 265 00 M65 for a 911 Carrera (1984-89) $ 2.25 each
Delivered and installed. Not the same shape as the original but the same height.

Be prepared for the half that's left stuck in the manifold to be a PIA to get out - lots of penetrating oil and mole grips mashed onto it to get it free in my case.
BTW those prices from Pelican are really nice. The cost for one from Porsche in Britain is £13.52 + tax each. That's around $20 each!

i have the same problem. have the correct part but the bottom half of the old one is still stuck in the manifold. Havn't been able to get it out, its as if someone threadlocked it in place.

Stuck? Oh yea. Could not get a grip on it so I scraped off the molded rubber to expose the coin shaped insert. Then sprayed it with Liquid Wrench and let it sit for about few minutes. Still no luck. It's hard to get a hold of it without grinding the intake. Finally a slight tap to the right with a tack hammer and screwdriver loosed it up. Was then able to slowly back it out with a standard set of pliers.

Part on order (along with a bunch of other rubber parts). Must the the year the ticking time bomb in the rubber goes off.
Many thanks for the assistance. I was looking only in the 1990-1994 Porsche, and that part did not show up in the search.
