OK,
Whilst doing the susp and brakes I might as well do a fluid and filter change.
For regular all year round road driving, what is the recommended oil?
And a brake fluid (nay too fancy i.e. not SRF!!) that will be at hope on the road and mild track.
Hopefully I can get what you guys recommend in Halford or such.
Thanks in advance.

Read this regarding oil: http://www.lnengineering.com/oil.html
I don't know if motor oil is much different in Europe but here in the States we have a problem. There is not enough Zn and P in most oils and it can lead to premature engine wear... For year round I'd use 0w40 oil of choice along a Mobil 1 filter.
As far as brake fluid, ATE Blue or Gold will do the trick.

Pete. The fluid that GT One recomend is ATE Super Blue for use on road and trackdays - having mine changed to it today.
They also use Mobil 1 Motorsport 15W 50 for all of the RS that they service, including Mel's Cup Car. It might be worth giving them a call (they're based in Chertsey) and seeing what they suggest.

Welcome aboard, Lucky. Car looks fantastic. So do you plan to track it at some point? If so, you may want to consider other suspension options before taking the plunge. The H&R/Bilsteins are certainly a nice upgrade over stock but if you want to take your new ride out for some track work, you may want to consider something a bit stiffer. Just thought I'd mention it now since those balance/alignment jobs tend be pricey for our cars.

It's easy to do Pete. I did the same early on . I put it down to the fact that the clicks are close together since there are 3 normal speeds aswell as the intermittent. Also, before you get round to asking about why your headlight washer doesn't work - you have to have the lights on before it will

Hey guys and gals,
Is there a upgrade to the diped bulbs? They are a bit pants, no? Links would be great.
All my brake bits arrived today. Looks like storeroom in the hallway!! Tell me, do peeps paint the grey primered part on the new discs or can you leave them as is??
Sorry for the questions - but it's Smetterton next Thursday and we need to crack on!!
