Jim,
Plugging in your own pins is an option but scares the crap out of most people.
Tom,
I did explore emachine shop when I did this last time I remember it was pricey but I think its the way to go unless somebody with a better solution pops up. I need to go digging into my archives and reassemble all my design files then I will start posting once I have everything straight in my head again.

I have my machine tools in transit to Kauai right now, plus about 40 plugs w/ 10' cables. I'd be interested in plug supply in the near future oncew I rec'v everything intact. I'll research emachine to do the parts with me doing the finish work.. FYI, I'm still working on a hammer replacement.
I have CAD drawings of the connector and emachine quotes from a few years ago.

Mojorizing,
Your connectors are great! I remember I used a few You have 40? Would you make those available to other rennlisters? That would make it easy then if I just get the hardware boxes together and people can mate them to your connector.
This is a DIY project with a soldering iron. You would only have to solder in Mojorizing cable, and assemble the boxes with some screws. I can have the PCB ordered and an small assembly house make the boards. But this requires a group buy and coordination which I hate, to be honest. I would want somebody else to step up to the plate to handle that.

I might volunteer to do the group buy thing. I have done a lot of that with my VAS-911 venture, and I have some systems set up. If Ricardo can supply the parts in bulk, perhaps I can take the second half of administering the group buy, collecting the plugs (Mojorizing?) and getting them shipped out. I can build a quick site that explains the assembly etc.
It sounds like we might have a plan soon, if we can get the plugs.
We need to just figure out the pricing etc at various breaks.
Mojo and Ricardo, feel free to contact me directly to discuss... thomascbennett(at)gmail(dawt)com

Nice to see you again Ricardo. Hope CA is treating you well. Still at Apple? Got any cool iPhone apps we can tap into? It would be way cool to have "an ipod app for that" software
