Default How are your rockers painted?

My 94 turbo has all original paint and the bottom of the rockers and body panels are painted a contrasting black. My 93 C2 supposedly has original paint yet the bottom of the rockers are painted the color of the car.

I have seen both turbos and 964's with color matched and black. How are yours painted?

I don't have any good pictures to show what I am talking about but you might be able to see the black on the bottom of the turbo as the C2 is painted to the cars color.

Like brain surgery through the nose. Now the complicated question are they gloss black or flat?

My black 964 has glossy black painted rockers which I believe is original; if that helps. My 993 does not have the lower part of the rocker painted. It is flat black plastic but the car is painted black.

My RED 964 is a hybrid.... center rocker panels are painted like the rest of the car (Red)... but the rear side flares (on the bumpers) are glossy black....

My plans is to restore those to the factory spec (that is... black).

Flat black like others. Your 94 T rocker set up is quite different than the earlier models. I believe the OE Porsche set up is the flat paint on the bottom to withstand road cinder chips better than a high gloss paint.

Yeh, Anthony, time to change your avatar so we can see more of your car. Tired of looking at your rear all the time!! Sal, your speed yellow is awesome without all the decals.

Mine are satin black (not quite gloss). I am almost certain they are factory original.
