Very nice - worth the effort to get it done properly, eh?

One more update, the total damage for the repairs came to just over $18k!!!! I have no idea how that works, since I can't imagine the car could be worth more than about $25k. Why didn't they total it? Your guess is as good as mine. I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for it...

He may get taken to court some time in the near future so that USAA can recoup some of the nearly $10k they're going to have to eat. I feel bad for the guy. It's just too bad that the state of Florida only requires $10k in property damage insurance. That's just criminal.

I'm glad they did not total it. It would have been criminal and it goes to show of how they total cars that can be brought back to perfect condition. I can see a run of the mill Honda but for a 911 it would be criminal. Thank God another one is saved

Congrats, she looks really amazing!

Brian,

She looks great. Can't wait for the weather up North to clear so I can spend some time making mine look one-half as good as yours.

Just couldn't help myself. Here are a few pics of the rear, which is the portion that was fixed (actually, replaced is probably a better verb).
(sorry about the terrible, mid-day light!)

Looking good, Brian.

Every time this thread reappears, I get an uncomfortable feeling deep inside...

A bit like threads that say '... undertray ...'

Talking I just wanted to cry 6 months ago but now I'm happy that I have my car back...

Ouch, John.
Although I do understand. And to the list of uncomfortable threads we could add, "LWF", "18 inch wheels", or even "Cylinder Head leak".
P.S. Is that title a bit better?
