I join the boys with Minis. I love the R56. Tight small back country roads in it. Corner as it is on rails. And, then I actaully bought a TT:s Roadster, I testdrove the Boxster and found the TT better. This will of course lead to a bit of debate

The mini is just fun. Had it since new. Puropose was to have it a few years to pick up and leave kids in kindergarden and schools. And then it just was kept... Its a complete opposite from the 964. Fwd, low weight. 4 cyl engine 184 hp out of the box.
Mine has a JCW package which add a bit to it. Too small to ride in it every day. Feel exposed in traffic due to beeing so small. No trunk what so ever., rear sear is for kids up to like 8 years...A toy.

Minis are great fun either manual or automatic esp with the JCWs, happy motoring!

Love avants, I wish they still brought them over. If they bring the B10 RS5 Avant, I may have to figure that out. That B5 looks like a fine specimen, I had a B6 S4 manual I wish I still had...

I recently got this back relatively unscathed after 12 years, 2 owners and 8,000 miles - 1999 Canadian GTI VR6.

I freshend it up with a custom set of Kinesis K20 and some rare front end bits.

The avant is a blast and with stage 2, upgraded brakes, PSS9's and a lot of 043 bits it flies. I climb in and I want to put the key in the left side. The manual trans is a blast but it needs interior upgrades. He has some crazy notion of turning tis into an RS clone. I think he is crazy but he is my son. LOL Nice toys

big fan of avants. had a B6 S4 Avant in Nogaro over Nogaro which was so much fun. mild utility, but such a cool package. got attention all the time. sold it due to a divorce. years later saw it on BaT and tried to buy it back, but was outbid in the end.

also had a UrS6 and that is still one of my favorite cars! bulletproof, practical, great seats, nice boost - just a great car. a lot of those around with massive hp.

No you don't especially in sub zero wet winter roads... Its going to melt! Had it for about 18 years now and love it - wonderfully analogue. Just spent a fortune on making it "reliable" and turn key starting.
