@r-mm Since you just installed your engine, hoping it's still fresh in your memory. Any clue where this end goes? Thanks!

Sorry i kept meaning to look and forgot. I have a plastic intake so mine's not identical but I think the two smallest vac lines on that Y (located other side on my car) go one each to the back of the airbox and the plastic thinggy you circled in red.

Or maybe the airbox vac line is not part of that Y. One to the FPR one to the Vacuum valve (charcoal related I think?)

Looks like it should go to the FPR, I'll make sure to double check that one. Thanks!

That end of the vacuum line goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

Santa dropped off some shiny bits for the rebuild tonight. Supertec was great to deal with and the heads/cylinders look great. Friday is the day to start the reassembly.

Yessir. Also 993 valves (1mm thinner stems), and the car has 993ss cams and 993 hydraulic rockers from the previous rebuild. The goal here was to build something stock+ without emptying the bank account.
Also have a LWFW and a Steve Wong chip as part of the rebuild.

I should, at some point, do a comprehensive list of what's been done to the car...

That sounds like a great 'warmed up stock' recipe. In layman's terms what do the 993ss cams do for the motor?

What I notice compared to by buddy's 964 is that I definitely have a more "lopey" idle than he does. It's pretty tame/similar to stock until around 4,200 RPM, then it really wakes up. There's a noticeable difference in power/torque around then.
With that being said, I had multiple broken head studs, leaky head gaskets, and rings that weren't seated properly (checked via leak down) from who knows when. That coupled with the LWFW, this should really wake things up compared to what the car was before.

Last night my buddy Philippe and I finally found some time to get some work done on the engine. Taking our time to ensure everything was SPOTLESS we ring'd up all the pistons, tossed them in the cylinders and got all six sets installed.

On a related note, anyone that tries to install their wrist pin circlips without the proper tool is a fool and a madman. We had the tool which worked great.

I'm really happy with the quality of work and customer service of Henry at Supertec. No hiccups last night during assembly, sometime this weekend we'll continue with heads/cam towers.

Luckily not, those were the last things we bolted on last night. It's amazing how well everything goes back together when it's clean/not covered in oil and dirt.

Wise words indeed.

Will you increase the redline on this? I am assuming you will be doing a custom dyno tune?

I'm keeping the stock redline. After talking with Steve Weiner and Steve Wong that's what they recommended unless I got down the rabbit hole of standalone, potential bottom end work, etc.
I had Steve Wong make me a custom chip based on mods done to the car. At some point down the road I'd love to do ITBs and Motec, but the cash outlay for that is very much not in the cards for a while.
