Also a lot of chassis bracing and seam welding happening. Matching the 964 cup cars. This is under the front strut top towers

Fascinating to follow this thread, thank you for sharing.

I have recently embarked on a journey, bought a rustbucket C2 with 10 owners and so far spent upwards of 50k GBP in deferred maintenance, engine rebuild and currently getting Ohlins installed. Not a penny spent on body or interior, yet...

Thanks. Yes, these cars are expensive! Worth every cent in my humble opinion.

Which shop in the UK does your work for you? And which Ohlins did you go for?

RPM Technik and Ohlins road and track plus bunch of other bits to refresh and improve. Should get it back next week!

Awesome. I bought my car from RPM Technik. They run a very good operation there. I was tossing up weather to use them for my build but I decided to go BS motorsport given their in house engine dyno.

Yep, I’ve been to BS and heard lots of good things about them, you should be in good hands!

Carbon roof panel has arrived. Super light weight just where you need it.

Will be fitted to the car shortly

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it.

I am thinking when I paint it, I am going to leave the carbon fibre on the roof exposed (a bit like the new GT2’s). If it looks bad, will then just paint over it.

For a black car, I think it would looks wonderful to leave it carbon.
