Best of luck and hopefully we will see the car at a local C&C in Mt Laurel or West Chester some time soon.
I was ready earlier today to take her home but had a glitch so hopefully it'll be tomorrow. Yeah Mt Laurel is cool but West Chester is a blast going through Amish land all the way to Chesapeake Bay. I'll post some photos when I officially get her.

Hi All, it has been a long time since I have been on Rennlist. I do have a Cayenne S these days - so I guess I should visit more often.. I was the proud owner of a 964 Cup US - clubrcr reluctantly sold to me. We both would like to have it back!! The car I owned did have a factory aluminum Matter cage. This had a sticker on it from matter, and Porsche. The one in this car is definitely not factory as previously mentioned. My car had a certificate of authenticity from Porsche, a number plate on the dash, a sealed engine, and lastly a sealed ECU box. If i remember correctly, the ABS box was also moved to a bracket on the right of the front trunk area (from the view of drivers seat). It also had a mushroom shaped button on the dash that would shut off the ABS when you are in a spin (not sure that would be my first thought when spinning). This was a factory Porsche part. My car did have the Cup car cut plastic air intake, and a heater pipe bypass. Both factory parts (air box was trimmed it looked like)

I have seen a car advertised that looked beautiful - it had the same number plate on dash as my car - so it may have been fake. If i was to see the car in person, there are quite a few other things that would be genuine to a 964 US cup. Yes there were converted cars and "port" cars (non converted). All the differences have been extremely well documented, so should be easy to tell if it is a real car. Bob Gagnon actually had a list of owners, vin etc at one point so you can probably track it down. I was able to do that with mine easily and did speak to the original owner extensively - Carlos Dequesada - he won 24 hours of Daytona ... he even sent me more documentation. Send me a PM would be happy to chat.

Had an extensive PPI done last week as part of the deal including compression test and updated all services required performed by a well known Porsche dealer in Pa (worth close to $6k by the seller). I signed the check today and will be delivered to the Trust law firm handling the sale so hopefully she'll be home tomorrow.

Congrats and I didn’t want to chime in out of line. The car was owned by an enthusiast who owns and has owned other rare Porsches. “Barn find” is a relative term if you consider a carriage house the size of an average 4 bedroom house to be a barn. Haha

good luck with the car and I look forward to seeing you around sometime. You will usually see me in my black 91 964 or a white GT3 Touring....for now.

The dreaded cage is going asap and will temporarily switch the driver's seat to the passenger side (too tight!) so I can drive her anytime/anywhere except work, she is street legal. I will also keep the current full Moton Club Sport suspension as it feels great with easy adjustability on the drive. Will definitely see the track for non competition events.

Quick update: Part of the cage was removed (DS & PS sidebars) and switched seats today. Drove to the Porsche dealer this morning about 45 miles for full maintenance since the previous owner never provided any service records but verbally said it's all updated. So I ordered all fluids to be replaced, full inspection, tires, plugs,brakes,etc... and a compression test.
the exhaust on this beast is loud though

Are both mufflers gone?? Primary and Secondary??

I run a "Primary" bypass pipe and it sounds lovely. Not quiet,....not loud. Seems to give it a little extra punch.

I also add two gallons of 100 Octane to every full tank of gas.. We can only get 91 Octane here in California and I've found a noticeable difference when I blend the two. According to the literature I have on these cars, the factory specified 93 octane.
