i have also looked into upgrading my intercooler pipes but have noticed that most aftermarket ones wont fit with the stock afm and stock airbox in place, i still have afm with kokeln bracket and k+n filter and was wondering how these pipes will work with these??

Count me in to (assuming my car arrives from Pennsylvania in one piece). Okay, how about this stupid idea in the mean time - dryer vent. The semi-rigid flexible would be great for the curves. Aluminum, very light. Cheap. Should take the temps okay. Is it just me or does it seem morally wrong to put dryer parts on a Porsche?

FYI.....for those of you that just want a polished look, you can polish the stock ones and they turn out really nice. I stripped them with oven cleaner(anodizing doesn't like to come off easily) and polished them out to a mirror shine. Start to finish it took me about 3 hours including the stripping.

My IC pipe I did from 5$ of straight pipe at auot store.
Gladd to hear boostguy is giveing this a full fledged atempt. Biggest issue is the tools and space to do it. I would expect even with a healthy profit margin, most of these types of parts can be made and sold for 1/4 of what is being charged now. i.e. 50% mark up and not 200% mark up.
