Just letting you know that I'm (a) still alive, and (b) good to wait, as long as I get one *eventually*.
[I took YA's spot back in May]
Thanks,

I haven't been around in a loong time, but a long time ago, I worked with Jeff on an adjustable cam gear group buy. One of those gears is pictured on the previous page and alllows +/- 4 degrees of timing change. I dealt with Jeff personally at length. He is 100% a stand up guy and I'm certain that whatever he has committed to make, he will deliver.

look on the bright side, if you had changed your timing belt when this group buy started, now there's only 2 years left until you go in to do it again!
perfect time to put the gear on, if they're available by then.

Hello, well...

Yes, and No is the true answer. I call him once a month and get the same answer it will be done soon. Trust me, I am extremely upset about this but still waiting. As soon as I have anything concrete I promise I will immediately post status. I sincerely wish I had more, but I don't. It is out of my control.

Thanks Eric. At least knowing we haven't been 'forgotten' offers some level of reassurance.

no dog in this fight, I've already got a quality adj gear, but in the 16 months this has been going on they could've built a new factory to churn these out.

or found another machinist.

mission critical aircraft parts don't take this long to manufacture.

Spencer your not being nice. That machinist may have a full time job and family. And a factory takes much less time to construct.

LMAO!!!!! And 16 months is 1.3 years. Wait two more months and I'm sure they'll be ready by then. Or not? Noooooo! You know if you went with the 16v head you wouldn't have this problem right? Because the 16v cam gear is factory adjustable. Oh Noooo. Or get this off evilbay.

.... Eric is a stand up and honest guy. He has no control of the guy making the parts.. clearly. & the guy is doing these is actually a very busy guy and does this stuff in spare time. I wouldn't be bashing him or this thread. If you havent ordered one, you shouldn't even be bashing.
no need to derail the thread also.

Sorry Pauly and the Machinist and Eric mostly, I's like to pass all the blame on Spencer. Because I'm an Angel.
