Default Under hood insulation

I'm too old for this... lol

Where can I get replacement pads in plain black similar to the ones I'm removing?

Thank you in advance and yes I did search first.

Looks good on their site...

I know your car is immaculate. Did the fit and installation measure up to your standards? I see them missing the round cut out that the stock one has, needed?

Also did you get the 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch thickness available?

And Porsche stopped installing them in the later year models.

Are they really needed? Turbo's do get kinda hot under the hood....

I think the extra heat with the turbo will damage paint.

The Turbo-s Never came with them.. I Tracked mine allot.. Never had a paint issue... Besides, That Giant intake we have acts as a heat shield for the hood. LOL

You dont have to have it, except in one spot, over the distributor. The factory left a little square there to prevent arcs. This is how my S2 came.
