I ran over 380HP on stock DME chips. But the problem is that the stock chips have a stock rev limiter, which is too low for my engine.

Therefore I can't run stock chips.

I do run stock timing though.

But remember, I have a much larger cam than stock, and the cam timing will (does) play a role in ignition timing.

Why not just bring the desktop with the 19" monitor into the car? I'm sure he has a long extension cord heh?

Its has been noted by those who care that certain parts are needed to make the kits complete. Link USA told me that if certain parts are needed to make these MAP or MAF kits complete, and cannot be had in reasonable time, they would make them and offer them with their parts. As Koklen are now in the mix, one should expect the parts to be available quicker. Competition is a good thing.

Driving impressions vitesse stage 2

Some people still don't believe the driveability and performance of the vitesse stage 2 kit. Here are the facts: The car pulls nicely from ANY rpm number, even 3rd gear at 1,000 rpm is no problem. When I downshifted to a lower gear with my KKK 27/6 and SFR stage 2 I stay in the higher gear with my vitesse kit. Where I was in the rpm range 2,500 to 4,500 before I am now in the rpm range 1,800 to 3,500, when I rev higher I get that nice hard kick in my neck which we all are looking for. Coldstart is PERFECT. I am only running 15 PSI of boost but with 93 gas. My SFR stage 2 turbo/ Lindsey digital MAF / Bursch cat bypass showed 282 HP on my G-tech at 18 PSI, my vitesse stage 2 showed 335 HP at 15 PSI. Not sure how realiable that all is but this is my experience.

So Vit stage 2 looks to be around 400 at the crank. Those results have been backed up by several other users as well.

I take it there is more room to run higher boost levels???

The stage 2 turbo starts to be efficient at 15 PSI. You can run 25 PSI without problems, the only problem is that your car will be d... fast. At 25 PSI you will have around 420 HP at the rear wheels (my guessing), too much for me as a daily driver. I wanted a turbo which has lots of torque as low rpm as possible with the possibilty to crank up the boost and fly.

When running the vitesse stage 2 at 25 PSI, will rest of the car hold?? Gasget`s, gearbox etc.. (off course with optimal a/f ratio, at 25 PSI)
Anyone here running that high PSI with a ordinary car and the vitesse kit? There isn`t many ordinary cars, with the stage 2 kit installed in perhaps?

Remember, those are old cars, anything can break at any time and at any boost. What I mean: Don't ask questions like that.

so this is my understanding from reading this 8 page thread:there is a vitesse kit and there is no guru kit available(hopefully YET).MAF are easier to tune but are a little expensive(compared to a MAP).MAP is harder to tune and is a little cheaper,BUT will even out with the MAF kit because you need to buy that hand help tunning device.well, this was a very informative thread(well some parts).for $3k you could get 400 hp +/-,thats just awsome.i better start putting a dollar in a box for 3000 days, hahahaha.to john@vitesse,if i purchase a kit, will it be compatible with guru chips(im currently running)?if so will there be a discount?(since its not needed)thanx

Venting BOV to atmosphere with a MAF setup will make your car run temporarily rich. MAP is the ONLY air-metering system you can vent to atmosphere. However, if you don't have a cat, you can vent anything to atmosphere, worst that'll happen is a little hiccup in drivability as it goes way rich for a sec.

People have to remember that whit any kit out there the most psi you can run safely on pump gas is about 15psi. To use 18psi to 20psi of boost race gas is required.

Not true.

15psi with a K27 isn't the same as 15psi with a 60-1. Big difference. Big power difference.

That statement is far to broad.

I can take a K26/6 car and run 18 psi all day on pump gas.
