That thought has been discussed Carlos. Not $ viable at the moment.

Not this time Paul. We're going into WTAC with low expectations and hope just to be there at this stage.

I really hope you and Paul get some really good lap times in. I know you two didn't have the best of luck the first few times. But i hope you put some competitors on edge.

The cornering speed compared to the others is crazy. have you done any changes to the downforce since last year?

Haven't made any changes. Well we're going to make a thicker front sway bar and try and make a couple of minor additions to the aero but we're just hoping to compete and have enough sessions that we can build some rhythm to be able to do our best. Have never been able to achieve that yet and I have entered every year. Gets to be very frustrating. Now I hardly care to be honest.

Had the block bored by machinist. Paul hand tapped the bores yesterday and now we're crossing fingers, toes, eyes...and hoping these custom Timeserts do the trick.

So far so good. Torqued down to 100ft/lbs. Off to dyno this Saturday. Probably going to swap out rear housings on turbo to see which of the .63 or .82 is more effective. Also running a thicker h/gasket which will bring the c/r down to 8:6.1 which should help a little with backpressure but hurt response. We shall see.

did you guys just take what ever bolts where found in the "lost property jar" for the balance shaft housing?

Just noticed the valve heights. ha.

Goodluck at the dyno. Curious to see the difference with housings. I want to go to .63 but i know apples oranges, but data is data.

I saw some photos of the carbon kit of the wtac 968. pretty cool. Very curious to see what modifications done to the head. if you've seen the pictures you'll konw what i'm talking about.

Patrick, why start with an 83NA block and not a later one with the swing-arm tensioner/perhaps thicker cylinder?
Where will you mount your knock sensor/turbo oil feed?

The motor was already built and just sitting in a workshop. We decided early this year to get it sent down here and put it together and use it as an interim one. It's already been run and used by us in April Spencer. The tensioner is from a later version. Steel sleeves, deckplate etc fitted by builder.

Might not hear from him. WTAC is this weekend so it's all practice and tune time.
