Actually it looks like pretty good value if you're in the market.

OOhh...stupid me. Well, then that's really intersting. Doesn't seem right then. You'd think it would be quicker over the 1/8th mile than that?
Sid, what's your times over that distance?

A 6.30 1/8 mile is probably about a 10 second 1/4 mile (possibly high 9's). This car shows me all the more how impressive it is what Sid has accomplished. Sid drives his car to the track and it turns

Agreed. Hope he can get his car 'down the hill' one day to realise true potential.

Race Car

LOL. I thought you were posting about my newest addition..
This car is interesting, but not really that fast IMO. I've ran 6.80 without launching hard and this car shown here is geared and setup to maximize 1/8 mile. My engine in this car (or even my car at this weight) would be faster.
I'm taking a different approach to the quarter ( or 1/8th) next year. very light car, high revving mitsubishi engine, rear end designed to get off quickly. It will be fun.
Don't expect too many runs from the old 951 next year. Maybe a few and then let my daughter race it at really low boost.

That sounds like a very interesting change of plans Sid?
Doesn't make sense that this Ebay drag car isn't quite a bit quicker than yours does it??

I would say it's even a slow car for the way it looks.. I was assuming there would be a big supercharger there but it not really impressive!
Also curious to the car the 4G63 is going in to, i'm assuming it's an EVO and not a 944..

Gonna be a whole different car. A little Datsun sunny. Should have a final weight of 1700 when done.
Not exactly sure where I'll be docu, eating this build. Probably projectzerog.org.
Gonna make a run for the top of our street outlaw series.

That's going to have a crazy power to weight ratio Sid. Make sure you still link us in it's progress.

B210 Datsun? We knew them as a Datsun 120Y here in Australia. Universally known as the worst car ever produced. They all came factory fitted with rust (not as an option).
I've experienced a 120Y with a 4 link rear end and big block 454. Hooks up well but absolutely frightening due to the short wheelbase making it want to swap ends constantly. 4G63 might make it more balanced and less frightening compared to a BB. Why not keep it in the family and use a Nissan motor?
