Last weekend I won another Time Attack Championship race at another track and put in a new lap record for semi slicks.

Now if only I had that LS engine in my car...

Nice. You know these engines are no good right??

Sleeving is a bad idea
Cutting these cranks down is a bad idea
You have to replace head gaskets every week
Just pos engines I tell you.

Oh and my favorite, your can't drag race these cars. Lol

Lol!

Looks like my headgasket is finally getting weak. I lose a little coolant above 1 bar. But it's been untouched for 2 seasons which is decent in my book for a record holding race car

I'm currently getting the ultimate head gasket manufactured for the 104 mm blocks. Takes some time for the factory to tool up but should be THE solution!

I'm gonna try Patrick's solution. I like the idea. I've been running fairly low boost due to injectors, pump, boost control (traction)

So I have a few things to upgrade before cranking it up.

I was just looking at logs of my runs last night and I have been running just under 18 psi to run 130+.

I can only imagine what it would be like with a 16v head.

This will be a similar solution but without the need to machine the block. It's a Cooper ring gasket with "pyramid" style rings cutting into the head. Gaskets will be made by Athena who makes the top stuff. This is the solution for other high boost engines.

The highest I've run is about 19-20 psi. Moves pretty well in my 2513 lbs car with 968 head, GTX3582R, 1,06 turbine, large diameter 4-1 headers, merge collector, dry sump, aggressive cams, short runner intake, E85 etc.etc.etc.

Sounds interesting.

I'm gonna just machine the block since I'll be pulling it apart to freshen it up over the winter anyway. I don't really need to, but I'm considering going to a 94 mm stroke and I am certainly going to install some larger vslves.

I think next year will be quite interesting.

Seems like it keeps making big jumps each season.

I can't afford the type of racing you're doing, so. .. I'll keep pushing on at the drags
