Not at all man.

I was thinking more in place of the alternator; even belt angle looks good in that area.
Alternator would need to go to the exhaust side like in the Nissan Quest alternator mod for the standard engines.

any chance of the standard 2.5 I-5 intake manifold fitting in the 944 bay, with the 2.5 tilted at 15*?

I see... moving the alternator would clear a lot of space on the intake side. If it helps you picture things, here's a shot of my cad model showing the pulley locations relative to the intake ports.

No, looks to me like it will interfere with the brake booster and firewall. Also, it is "backwards" meaning the throttle body would be at the back of the engine pointing towards the firewall (actually sticking through it I think).

I don't know if I've mentioned it on here lately, but in my current design I do have the engine mounted at 15 degrees.

I'm pretty sure that I've seen a manifold that could be mounted either direction -- but of course cannot find it now. :/

Edit: Thanks for the front view! It helps a ton!

If you find that manifold, please let me know. I don't want to reinvent the wheel...

Could you possibly be thinking of the IE 1.8t manifold? The plenum can be unbolted from the runners and flipped on that one. I really wish they had done the same on their 07K manifold.

maybe useful to make a custom plenum?

I almost went that route because I want to use ITBs like the Polo 07krs builder, but using the Lambo manifold means drilling and tapping new holes into the head.

Looks like this piece could work well for ITB's. Made by Custom Parts-Service in Sweden (http://cp-service.se). I think this is the same shop that made the 07K dry sump pan that Alex posted.

Here are some pics of the "final" designs for the engine mounts, bellhousing, and crossmember. Next, I will be making a prototype of each of these for test fitment. Off to design the oil pan now.

I changed the psgr side engine mount design because I found that the 4" turbo inlet of a Garrett GTX3582 would have interfered with it. So now, there's all kinds of room for various turbo options. The body of the turbo model shown is a little oversized to account for a blanket around it.

Yes I’ve heard from both recently. I’m going to give Quick Time a little more time.

Excellent. Were Matech's prices astronomical or were they just unable to make it work?

Iroz has chopped up a transverse Integrated Engineering intake manifold to use it for the runners of a few custom manifolds, but there are none that can be flipped that I know of.
Dutter racing used a TT-RS manifold on their B5 swap (with I believe Iroz's supplemental injector CNC lower plenum since the stock one doesn't have port injectors)...but as Alan said it'll most likely interfere with the booster.
