Dropped the stock exhaust and WG today. Looks like im going to drop some weight! That stuff was heavy, especially the WG and associated brackets.
The new is 3" SS , Magnaflow muffler and a Turbosmart WG vented to atmosphere(At least initially! Lets see if I hate it.. If I do, I will retrofit)
Its half done, pics to follow.

I have unmuffled screamer pipe on my car and I love the n-group-ish sound with the WG open. However be advised - It is VERY loud, and I must admit - unless it's on car that at first glance is obviously a TD/DE car - must seem ridiculous and borderline ricey.

i'd rather be a narcissistic than a ******.
As for the douchebag part - you quickly learn never to go full throttle at public roads.
edit: actually the last part saves you money, because of less speeding tickets.. So - we should treat screamers as investments, shouldn't we?

i used to love the blow off sound on my Audi UrS6. would opt for that sound on my 951 instead.

The blow off sound is nice but I wouldn't trade performance for sound. With the bypass valve, you basically send the extra air right back to the turbo for a quicker spool between shifts. The blow off sound just dumps that slight performance boost away (little as it may be). With the dumped wastegate, not only are you getting more sound, but youre also eliminating a large source of back pressure, which creates less strain on the turbo, which speeds up spool time and maximizes performance.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand, back to the topic..
These are pics taken with my phone, unfortunately in no particular order!
Anyway, 3" 304, new TS compgate 40 piped to atmosphere. Snow here, so
I couldn't hear the WG, but the exhaust sounds really nice. Nice and angry. Way more fun than buying one. Looking at this, I realize I didn't
take a nice pic of the whole works on the car. I will get it back on the lift and snap a couple. It fit nice. The drop from the flange down to the underside of the car was cool to make. Not a lot of room in there!
My stock setup has been stashed away for originality's sake.
