Default Race gas

Can anybody offer suggestions on mix ratios and type of gas? I'm finding VP 110 is the least expensive here. Thanks in advance.

So you know, 110 is leaded - hard on cats and O2 sensors (wide bands).

What octane do you want to run?

Ive run a range from 50/50 mix of 100 unleaded w/ 91-92 pump gas up to 110 leaded straight, depending on boost level, chips and racing/track conditions. Mostly Sunoco racing fuels, although sometimes if I buy at the track they have other brands. VP is one, also Torco is another that I have used.

i run f&l leaded 112 in my 56 ford. vp is very pricey for unleaded race gas. sunoco is bit more cost effective. how often u running race gas? if often id say get a meth injection. i run meth and race gas in my hotrod. and if i can ever get my turbo to run without breaking gonna run a snow meth setup.

For cost efficiency, aviation gas is where its at. The commonly available stuff is either 100 low lead which will kill cats and 02 sensors, or 100 lead free. It doesnt cost that much more than premium at ~ 5 dollars a gallon, and you can mix it 50/50 with 93 and a splash of tolulene to get a few tankfuls of 98 octane.

Convert to E85 if you have it locally available.

I used to use 93 octane mixed with xylene which produced very favorable results and has no lead.
It is equal to 117 octane rating.

Can be purchased at Home Depot, Sherwin Williams, etc.

Based on the total lack of information on engine mods and how it will be used I would recommend 99.5% premium pump gas and .5% race gas.....

You need to put a lot more info in to your question before you will get a useful answer. If this is a stock engine and engine management you will not get any more power from 'race gas'.
