OK so finally found this thread and now am even more confused with the part Pauly has given to me.
My top port is definately a M14 x 1.5 which should take the water temp sensor(?), and side ports seem to be M16 x 1.5 but am only assuming that from what Pauly told me(and reading Erics first post) and that they are slightly bigger than M14. Bottom port takes the -8AN fitting but seems too loose. So not sure what the bottom port should be(Pauly said M20).

The right angle adaptor bits I bought from Paulys Build thread list, and are a 3/8 to -8AN(aeroflow MALE FLARE -8AN TO 3/8 NPT - AF816-08BLK) and this fits turbo. I have a 90 deg -8an (aeroflow 90 DEG FEMALE FLARE -8AN - AF133-08BLK) . I also have a M14 x1.5 to -8AN (aeroflow METRIC M14 X 1.5MM TO -8AN - AF732-08BLK).

So if I use 3/8 to turbo that leaves M14 to adaptor. This will only fit top port. That laves the bottom port(loose -8AN) for temp sensor, nd the 2 left and right ports, which I assume are M16.

I want to order to M16 to barbs, for connection to water pump and expansion tank but can't get an answer to what size barbs and cant easily remove hoses to measure. Also if my understanding is right the M14 port is for temp sensor, so I need a different connector to connect to my 90 deg -8 an fitting and have no idea what this adaptor has. Pauly mention he thought it was M20 ?

I assume I will need a M20 to Male -8AN to connect to bottom port from turbo 90 deg. 2 x M16 male to Barbs of yet to be determined size, but having seen a bunch of pics on water pump end connection possibly 10mm. This will leave M14 for temp sensor.
Eric can you shed any light on it for me ?
TIA

bottom you need a m20 to -8an
Side you need m16 to IICR is 8mm barb. (i just have nothing to confirm this, all measuring tools at work. all car parts at home)

Hey Pauly/Eric
I can find a bunch of M18 to barb but not M16. Aeroflow dont list any M16 to barb. Is there any chance side ports are M18 ?

Found some M16 on fleebay so will click buy me as need them fairly quick lol If not right will have to source the right ones later

Bruce, if you have callipers, measure the ID of the bore.
14.5-15mm = M16
16.5-17mm = M18

Cheers Pauly. Measured and they are M16. Will order now.

I have found a female M14 x 1.5 to -6 AN so might order that so I can remote mount temp sensor to the side.

you shouldn't remote mount temp sensor. if anything you remote mount the whole unit or sensor wont read accurately.

Bruce:

Sorry man, not on here very often! Just saw this, and remember the issue you are probably having. Pauly has the first two prototypes. I think we made some of the holes on those larger. I have two here is front of me now. I can send you a new one if you wish.

On the new ones like the one pictured above, the top sensor port is M14-1.5 and the other three are all m16-1.5.

Cheers Eric but I think I am all good now. I have M16 x 1.5 to 8mm barb for side ports and M20 x 1.5 to -8AN for bottom port, on the way, hopefully arriving this week. I think I will need to remove the brass extension piece on the Vitesse for it to fit correctly but it is looking like I am on the right path now. Very nice bit of engineering by you and Pauly

Bugger just undid *extension* and was expected to be left with an M14 x 1.5 threaded female port into turbo but instead *extension* was a collar, and so will now need to source a female M14 x 1.5 to -8AN.

Edit:- Looks like they only make female M14 x 1.5 to -6AN

OK to get this to work and despite dumping a small fortune on AN fittings, it seems I have to use a -6AN 90 deg right angle connector. I think I read Eric saying -6AN should be still OK but am not 100% on that.

I now need to order a M20 x 1.5 to -6AN or it just wont work. Now to see if they even make them lol

Finally have worked out the bit that attaches to the turbo is 3/8 not M14, so I need a female 3/8 NPT to -8AN, and it should work lol If anyone needs random -6AN and -8AN fittings I'll have a few for sale lol

Any pics Bruce?

I have a new Lindsey Super 53 TBB that just arrived yesterday and I'm going to be using one of Eric's trees.

I'm struggling with the AN fitting sizes as well, my turbo came with a couple of fittings attached but still trying to figure out what I have, what I need and hose barb sizes.

Thanks much!
