276 hp at 18 psi realistic?
Guys, I'm disappointed after the shop that tune my car say he tune the car at a SAFE 18 psi and he only got 276 hp. First the engine is freshly build 2.5, light crank, super 60 turbo, 70 psi injectors, stage 1 head (lindsey), using a Electromotive TEC -S, 3 inch exhaust, tune with 93octane gas. Some people claim 300hp on stock engines adding chips. I'm I wrong??

There should be way more power from your engine than that! Use the search function for some dyno tests and you'll find enough cars with way more power than that!

That number is low considering your mods. Are you running the stock camshaft?

Thats about 330 hp at the crank. How much torque? What kind of dyno was it?
I wouldnt be too concerned about chasing huge numbers on the dyno. Make sure your AFRs are good, and try a 60-120mph pull and see if it feels right.

+1 on doing a leakdown and compression test but also make sure there are NO vacuum leaks first. Sorry to hear about the low numbers. I had the same thing happen to me I feel your pain.

as said dyno's are all over the place. Don't they typically put a correction factor in? Does the car feel stout?
When I had mine dyno'd the number initially closer to your number before he put in whatever correction he did.
I run a LR Super 60 and put down 299.8 rwhp at 14.7psi (also discovered some vacuum leaks at that time). Now running 17.5-18psi and leaks fixed

This time the shop end-up changing the spring on the wastegate to a 6 pound from a 15, he said it was doing 300 whp at 3400 rpm, boosting 18 psi. SO the Fuel/ratios where bad.
It idles better now. Had problem with a lifter which got changed for a new one but I can still hear the same ti-tic not all the time only from 1500-2500 rpm first to second gear.

sounds like that dyno reads low if it was the same shop. a bone stock 951 should dyno ~190 whp, S's have been known to lay down 220+ at the wheels in factory trim. Also how did the car do 300 whp at 3400 rpm, but only pull 276 whp... I'm confused. I wouldnt be worried about it though until after you drive it. Take it for a spin, if the car pulls hard down worry about it. Also, are you still using the AFM or have you gone to MAF? 300 whp isnt bad if you are still on the afm..
