Yes, the math would say the least bends possible. If a bend is necessary, then make it the least angle possible with the largest bend radius possible. This basically would apply to both the intake and exhaust track.

I guess I generally have known this but I was shocked at the amount of the pressure drops, becoming very significant in high hp (high cfm) applications.

Finished up my intake mods and I am ready to get everything back together. Pretty happy with how they turned out. Planning on doing a lot of fine tuning this weekend and going to try to get back to the dyno next week.

Looks good!
Not the most pretty of the welds but we have a saying. It's not how it looks, it's how it holds

Looks like next Thursday night. Man, sorry I have not gotten them back to you. Let me know if you cannot make it and I will be glad to run them down to you.

Thanks mate! I am no professional tig welder, this is for sure, but not bad for home made. Hopefully they do the job.

Looks good. I see you left off the t-bolt clamps. Those things are a pain to get tight and not hit the hood, or the light bar or other things. How much extra horsepower do you think you gained?

Yep, T Bolts were a no go. Lesson learned. BTW I have some T Bolts for sale! lol

We think we were getting a choke condition in the intake track on the top end so hoping this helps a bit. Just trying to make my initial 550 rwhp goal.

As an aspiring welder working an office job during the day, I think those TIG welds looks pretty darn good! Good luck at the dyno -- looking forward to seeing how much it helps on the top end. Hopefully you can dyno at the same boost levels so you can compare apples to apples...

What TIG are you using/own? I was about to pick up a Hobart 210 MIG with spool gun for applications like this.

Glad you're getting so much done Shawn. Considering I'm not getting much done. It's fun following along

Best to practice on stainless steel to get the hang of it
Can't wait to tune and dyno!
