Default Larger Intake Valves

I found a company that sells 951 9mm SS intake valves in 46mm, 47mm, and 48mm head sizes. OEM length and OEM keeper grooves, undercut for.....wait for it...$26/each in quantities of 1

More info to follow...

It is a mid-size manufacturer that is much more accessible than the big boys. Once I am holding them in my hands I will post it up along with details about my progress on a low cost, high flow head.

I talked with an engineer and I was shocked how much he knew about the 951 valve train off the top of his head as this company manufactures valves for most performance make and models.

How large can you go on stock seats?

Anything over 300 lbs and you are going to have trouble shifting along with ingress and egress although this is just a guess

I have a 2,7 head that's planned for my 3.0 build. How large are these valves and what's best to start with? 2,7 is bolt-on but 951 head needs some work done.
But I guess that the 2,7 head has a larger area since 104mm so it would accept slightly larger valves?

What does original 951 intake valves cost and is there any advantage using SS rather than sodium filled?

Not sure about the stock seats, I am having new intake seats installed.

I would say 47mm will fit cleanly with minimal chamber work to improve shrouding. I think this would be perfect for 2.5L bore.

A 48mm is about the max size you can squeeze in without a ton of work. With a 48mm intake, you definitely will need to do some chamber blending to improve shrouding. I see this a ideal for 102mm or larger bore.

Only the exhaust valves are sodium filled. I will be using the OEM sodium filled exhaust valve. I am olny replacing the intake valves.
