Yeah I know it's a too big diff front/rear but this was what was on the wheels I bought and will be changed soon.

I have 8,5" & 10" and want to have as equal as possible. Biggest on 8,5" seems to be 245 and maybe it's better to go down to 265 in rear?
Would like to have atleast 255 but rather 265 in front and maybe up to 285 in back.

A race engineer in Sweden who drove and worked much with 944/968 has 3 levels of springs recommended. 684/912 or 798/1083 and 912/1254lbs springs calculated for the best balance in 944/968. This gives an effective spring relationship of 0,82-0,84 front and rear.
I'll follow his recom and start with the weakest setup but have the medium level springs on their way too.

But yes, tyres is the weak link now aswell as present springs 400/650.

Jim, how does PCA do car #'s? Do you register with one and use door magnets?

After the runs, in post grid.
Just took 3rd last week in the Porsche Parade Auto-X.
To give you an idea of what I was up against, I ran in IO4 which in short is street legal modified cars. I was the only 951 in the class of 8 and was up against very light modified 911's which weighed about 2400 lbs and ran on A6's. My car is about 3000 lbs and was on Piolet Sport Cups. Plus I was only running off of the WG spring pressure of about 10psi. My car has 968 MO3O sway bars but stock suspension which is way too soft to be running against these guys.
I used to Auto-X a lot but this was my first time back after about a 8+ year brake. Which is to say that I could have driven even faster than I did had I been at the top of my game.
It blew me away to how well the 951 did. Once the car was on boost, it was very fast and very easy to drive. I forgot how well balanced these cars are. I must say that the track was well designed for the 951 but still I was at a huge disadvantage to the much lighter and more powerful 911's. Even so the 25 year old car not only represented the 944's well but beat most of the 911's
Long live the 951...

Congrats. That's really well done under all those circumstances. Can just hear you thinking. "Now if maybe I should get some A6's for next time...or should I save for some better coilovers...I could use a new MAF..."

....Notice that the ground is just starting to go downhill in front of you. Beginning of slope commonly known as slippery...

Yes pretty much.

Though a lot of people in the region have a "permanent" number, so the number you want might already be taken. It kinda stems back to year-end points and people given the option to run as #1 all year, etc. If you've already got a set of magnetic numbers then bring them and give it a shot. Worst case, they give you a temp number to use and just make it out of painters tape.

I am running a MAF kit with a bigger turbo, 3" exhaust, Tial WG, etc... I just was not controlling the WG boost. I bet at only 10 psi my motor was putting out about 250hp. The way my car is set up, it should put out about 325 hp at the wheels if I turn up the boost.

I need to upgrade the suspension. What do you think would be a good street/Auto-X/Track set up?
