Default New 951 owner!

Hello everyone! I have been wondering around this forum for a few weeks now since i bought my new 1986 porsche 944 turbo. I have always wanted a 944 since i was in highschool i owned a 924 NA , i really love this car and how it handles! its a dream come true!

Here is my baby

The owner was an elder women who was selling her husbands car because he passed away and she sold it to me for $2700 with 145,000 miles. its fully stock, no mods. when i drove the car home i noticed the boost would cut off on full throttle around 4500 rpm and i got that fixed at some porsche mechanic, he said it was 2 leaking vaccum lines under the intake manifold. since then i gave the car a full tune up and oil change and i cant seem to find anything wrong with the car yet.. so far it runs great and idles fine, has impressive power! no smoke from the exhaust, the coolant level stays the same and the car seems be well alive.

what i would like to do next is get a nice paint job, any suggestions on color??

also, i would like to run 15psi of boost safely on my stock motor, i have been reading up about upgrading to a 38mm tial wastegate, MBC or EBC?? and getting 951 max chips with a 3in exhaust system. what do you guys think about that??

thanks you all for reading. cheers

very nice, personally I would remove those fender emblems, looks like you have a strosek wide body and hatch. I would do a 38mm tial, mbc and rogue tuning A-Tune and 3" exhaust to start with.

A far as paint goes the red looks nice, maybe that or a dark grey or black would look good with the body the way it is.

yeah i dont know what the previous owner was thinking with those things on the fenders, but im getting rid of them for sure.

timing belt looks good buts im still gonna change it as well as the water pump just in case...

what kind of MBC do you guys recommend? is it reliable because i heard they fail compared to a EBC?

and off topic question what is a TPS?

The fenders, fake vents, Rear glass removed for that thing with a wing on it. No chrome belongs on the car unless its on the wheels.

The bumper doesnt look half bad

The thing I like the most about the car is that particular body kit and wing, its something u normally dont see around. Im glad it came with it because i was never a fan of that glass bubble hatch. once i paint it, i know it will look spectacular!

If you say so.

Looks mad max ish and not very sleek like the original designer intended. But hey its your car you are free to do with it what you want.

If you want, you could tell us more about yourself, location, etc.

That thing has the rare two tone red option!
