Default New Dyno Thread (Rogue Maf)

Hey guys, I finally got some time in at the dyno. I'm gonna post a before and after.

Mods
26/8 turbo
tial 38mm wastegate
lindsey MBC
test pipe
93 pump gas
15 psi falling to about 12
Vitesse chips for 26/8

old 15psi runs

There was some issue in my old thread here about me posting corrected numbers, so that is the uncorrected sheet I was given.

New Dyno
mods same as above but with the Rogue Maf kit (maf, injectors, map sensor)
15 psi falling to about 13 psi

Now here is where it gets interesting... since I have an MBC the shop did a couple runs to get the car set up for 18psi, by now the car is pretty heat soaked so my 18psi run didn't make any more HP.

18 dropping a little bit maybe 16 psi

My best run showed 17 psi on the gauge dropping just a little, but this was after the car had cooled down.

17 cooled

Overview of all the runs that day

I am happy with the numbers, and now I have something to compare to when I get my 27/6 installed. Also, check out those AFR's... a little rich on the top end but safe. I was throwing fireballs out the back after each run.

What were your new numbers with the MTune being the only change?

So you picked up 12 Horse powers, but lost 3 torques going from Vitese chips W/ AFM to the Rogue MAF / MAP setup?

look at the first 2 charts, yes that is what it shows at 15 psi but I get less of a drop in torque overall to redline. 300 peak tq dropping down to like 275 tq at 5k or 297 dropping to about 285-290 at 5k.

Yeah that seems close to what other people see going from the flapper to a maf.

I'm just trying to clarify to be sure I am reading the charts correctly..

The first chart is Vitesse chips with the AFM?
Second Chart is Same mods and boost level but with the Rogue Tuning MAF/MAP setup?
Third chart is 18 PSI
Fourth chart is 17 PSI
Last chart is the new 15 PSI, 18 and 17 PSI pulls all overlaid?

One thing I notice is the second set of charts... detail 2500 to 6500 RPM, while the first one is 2000 to 7000... not sure if that was intentional or an accident..

Nice numbers indeed, The K27 will move more air... so the resuslts should be interesting... similar numbers at lower boost levels, or bigger numbers at same boost levels.. although you MIGHT see a slight shift to the left caused by lag... but shouldn't be too bad!

Exactly why I was asking... seems like you got smother, although a casual look at the charts that smothness is distorted by the loss of 1000 RM in range displayed... and the end result is lower torque, but increased horsepower... so much for Chris Whites formula for estimation of torque or power based on measurement of the other...

Yes you got the chart order right... the last chart had all the runs that were recorded for the maf dyno, as well as the runs where we were adjusting the mbc, the car started to heat soak so the power is down on those.

The next time I dyno, after the 27/6 is on, I'll make sure to get the ranges set the same for the charts.

WHen I first looked it made it apear that teh boost was coming on faster, till I looked at the range...

A large part of the results you see are the MAF vs AFM... although it does apear Josh has his map functions working pretty well for you to be able to up the boost and do a pull!
