Fourth chart is 17 PSI
Last chart is the new 15 PSI, 18 and 17 PSI pulls all overlaid?

One thing I notice is the second set of charts... detail 2500 to 6500 RPM, while the first one is 2000 to 7000... not sure if that was intentional or an accident..

Nice numbers indeed, The K27 will move more air... so the resuslts should be interesting... similar numbers at lower boost levels, or bigger numbers at same boost levels.. although you MIGHT see a slight shift to the left caused by lag... but shouldn't be too bad!

Exactly why I was asking... seems like you got smother, although a casual look at the charts that smothness is distorted by the loss of 1000 RM in range displayed... and the end result is lower torque, but increased horsepower... so much for Chris Whites formula for estimation of torque or power based on measurement of the other...
You will pick up about 30hp and tq with the K27/6. One of my old 2.5's hit 335whp and 345wt at 18psi FOURTEEN years ago. I've got the dyno here somewhere....

Very soon, I'm waiting on my ARP bolts to come in, then the car's getting a head refresh, turbo, and DP are getting installed.

Once the head is cleaned up I'm going to inquire about the price of a big valve job and some porting of the head and intake.

That's what I'm hoping for, do you remember if you had a full exhaust or a test pipe?

Also I guess a general question for people, If I switch to an EBC, I should see some gains in the top end since the ebc will keep the boost till redline right?

The EBC will help maintain boots to red line, only if the turbo is capable of maintaining boost to red line. The K27 will have more of an impact on this than the EBC.

I thought about it for a long time, and I read a thread that George D posted about having both a 27/6 car and a 27/8 car. He said something along the lines of on a track the 6 car could pull away from the 8 because of the lag and stay ahead, but the 8 car would begin pulling in the top end.

I decided on the 6 hotside for the faster spool and since I had the mint 26/6 from my car when I put in a 26/8. I think the total cost for the 27/6 was like 400-500. that included sourcing the 27 parts myself.

In the second video, you can see heat coming out from the bottom of the car, perhaps from the crossover.

This car had a test pipe, Autothority Chips and MAF, and a manual black ****. I also was using the Split Second fuel controller, but with Rogue's setup, you have much more control over fueling.

The head had some work, but nothing to get too excited about. Stock injectors and a 3.0 rising rate FPR. I'm sure there were a few other tweaks, but the bottom end was stock.

The K27/6 with a 2.5 was one of my favorite turbos. Immediate boost. With the right mods, it responds better than the K26/8. I went from a k26/8 to a k27/6, and know the k27/6 was a much better match for the mods back then.

The car went another 70K miles with this setup with the new owner. He now has a 3.0 in this car.

I did not have a K27/8 on any of my 951 cars, but drove a few. The K27/6 is a better match for the 2.5 motor in my opinion.

I hope that's an exhaust leak. That thing takes all day to spool.

I think I am understanding that this is NOT a Roque vs Vitesse. But a AFM vs MAF sorta thing. And in that case, good comparison.

Still. A dog of a turbo / lag. I hope the 27/6 changes thing drastically.

All day to spool? Doesn't it make about peek torque around 3500 RPM? I didn't think that was so bad?

Nice runs, and write-up
Any Tuning/FQS adjustment on your end Zeff?

Can't wait to see the K27 comparison!
