Track plans for 2012?
Seems there are enough people in here to do a thread and see what you're all planning for 2012 on the track. If you want to include 1/4 mile stuff that's fine too. Just interested to hear what you're all up to in the downtime at the end of 2011 / early 2012??

Car is under going / has undergone major surgery for the last 3 months and next 2 months. I am planning on 6 to 8 DEs and 4 to 5 races. This may reverse as the season progresses.
Of course this subject to change depending how much I am in country.

I'm still not sure what to do with my car now it's home. Got to get it to comply with one of the CAMS categories first. Right now it's in danger of becoming a permanent garage ornament.
After February will possibly start with some Porsche Club stuff just to get it out of the garage. Woud love to get it down to Bathurst for a run and I would love to run it at Lakeside for old times sake because thats where I started racing in the 80's but I'm about 30 decibels over the noise limit at the moment.

Trying to get my competition license right now. Will be doing a 3 day DE at Roebling Road in February. It may involve a "checkride" or not, depends on feedback from the CDI in my region. If not, I'll get a checkride at Road Atlanta at the March Club Race/DE. Right now, I'm planning on racing Mid Ohio, and looking at a few other tracks. Will do the DE at Road Atlanta in August, may only instruct due to Mid Ohio the following week. Will also do the October one. I have a wedding in June which prevents me from being able to do either Watkins Glen or the DE at Road Atlanta then.

Good responses. I like to hear all this positive stuff about the following season. Gives me even greater impetus to try and get back out there asap.
Steve, I would think you could do PCQLD stuff but as you say, might need a muffler/silencer somewhere along that exhaust!!

Just completed my first racers clinic last weekend. One more to go in March to get my "cup license" in POC (Porsche Owners Club).
2012 Schedule:
February - Willow Springs Raceway, CA - Time Trial (practice sessions in race group)
March - Spring Mountain Raceway, NV - Racers Clinic #2
April - Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, CA - Cup Race
May - Willow Springs Raceway, CA - Cup Race
June - Autoclub Speedway, CA - Cup Race
August - Laguna Seca, CA - Cup Race
September - Autoclub Speedway, CA - Cup Race
October - Infineon Raceway, CA - Cup Race
December - Willow Springs Raceway, CA - Cup Race
Busy year coming up. Looking forward to Infineon Raceway but can't wait for Laguna Seca!

Since you included the 1/4 mile folks too
I'm planning on being ready early this year with the new engine, good clutch, better anti lag etc.. I'm planning on setting some new records. Considering I've been playing with cheap parts for so long I'm anxious to see what my new powerplants can do.
I am also going to run the circle drag events regularly. I also plan on finally getting the car toa track it is meant for
