For you 3.0L+ turbo guys, I'm just curious as to what you guys would ask for if you were ever selling your cars?

17-20, but I would probably list it at higher and wait. The amount of money to do a "proper" 3L+ build is more than that.

I'm getting buried in mine when I die. And just so no one digs it up.......ever seen The Road Warrior's booby trapped car?

It would not be worth me selling. I have far to much money time and effort into it
$50000 it's like a new car though and it's what I wanted to do.

I would not part with it for less than what it cost me but thats not happening this century

Jason

I'm sure there are some good deals out there though. I plan on buying a couple more down the road.....have the spare parts for at least one more.

No, considering that is almost half the cost of building one yourself.

Same deal here;
50 grand+
power and handling well sorted
like new and out classes most modern sport cars that cost more than twice as much.
But, it's not often somebody else will see it that way.

For my car 50000 might get me thinking and yes I know I said $50000 to the critics I'm not selling it and thats what it is worth to me not to anyone else.

For anyone to do what I have done thats about what it's going to cost. Powder coating, new everything stock and performance parts. shipping costs, changes you will undoubtedly make alone the way etc etc

take care,
Jason

Sad fact is you will rarely get back anywhere near what you put into your car. Buyers always think they can start with a cheap car and get the same result for less.

Yep New 3.0L but still have my 40000km 2.5 sitting in the garage as well.

My 3.0 is a LR engine, 5 inch exhaust which I love the sound, Super 75 p-trim T4 .58AR, Solid Lifter Cam quite rank specs......it's a blast to drive

And then the F*%^&ER'S with City Council closed race city

Including the price of the car I'm at about $38k. I still need to do brakes and suspension so I'm looking at another $5-$6k for those things. Thankfully the paint and interior are in prestine condition so any changes I make to those will be minimal.

If I did have to sell the car I'd hope to get at least $20k for it, but there is no way I'm taking that kind of loss. I'll have this car for the next 5 years minimum.

I would return the car back to stock and sell components individually. I would be lucky to get 35% selling the car complete.

The 3L cars sold here the last few years seem to have been sold for roughly half the cost of building them.
