Post Black 600 HP 944 Turbo in Excellence!

Now that is a nice 944 Turbo. The picture of it cornering at the track sent shivers down my spine. Anyone else see this car?

That is a very nice car. I bought a lottery ticket today, the Powerball is at 12 million dollars. The drawing is tomorrow. After taxes I hope to do the same car, maybe in white or red.

The guys name is Bob Howard. He is a good friend of mine. If you are all into club racing you can see the car at Texas Motor Speedway in May it will be a good test to see how it works. It is first class and very stunning to look at. For all you 944 nuts this is one to see.

So does Bob pretty much dominate the club-racing scene with that car? Or are there even more extreme racers out there?

He has yet to club race it. He is still in the shakedown part so by the time the Texas race comes around it should be set and ready to go. If you read the article about the car it is a de-stroked 968 engine so he will be able to run in GT3. With the kind of HP he is getting and the engine remains together, and of course getting comfortable with the car he should have it covered in a big way. We'll see soon.

I know this has been mentioned before, but there is a car on the east coast owned by Woody Weiss that has over 600hp in GT3. At Limerock no one can touch the car. (for PCA Club Racing) PCA decided they did not like the modification he made so they outlawed many of mods made to his car. So now he has to run GTP.

The modifications in Woody's car are far more extreme, like relocation of the turbo to the passenger side and solid lifters.

Not taking anything away from this other guys car (Woody) but you can't get much more extreme. The Turbonetics turbo on Bob's car is mounted on the passenger side of the engine also with custom plumbing everywhere, no balance shafts, custom ground cams and on and on. Read the article it is cutting edge. It is just great to seeing someone putting the $$$$ into the 944T for a change and getting some coverage. We don't get alot of that.
