More photos when you can. It is always very helpful to see how others set up their 951 race cars.

I saw that pic of the fuel system and just thought, "that was expensive"

You might find that so many of those sensors are fantastic to tune and learn the car and get it all dialed in. You won't ever really look at them again for years after that.

Yes I need to get some more comprehensive pics. I'll see what I can do in the next few weeks.

I'm hoping all of the above Bruce.

Impressive fab work on the turbo exhaust side plumbing. Didn't you say you were going to be using 3 Bosch 044 pumps? I am going to be installing one and I can imagine one might install 2 in case one fails during a race and to prevent the car from running lean, why would you want 3? Also, what is the purpose of the tank with lines coming and going above? Looks great but I am too dense to figure out what it is all for. What are you going to do with the output from the ethanol sensor - adjust the tune on the fly based on the ethanol percentage or does your engine management have some way to adjust the tune automatically based on the output of the sensor?

Swirl pot. Its necessary for that mounting location and other reasons. I don't think he is going 3, just sounds crazy. There are also 2 main ways to run a double pump system. Series and parallel. This looks like a parallel system. Side by side vs one in front of the other.

This is going to be one of the highest-end 951 ever, at least among those that still have the original frame. More pics please.

Sounds about right i have been planning something along the same line, one pump that feeds to the surge tank from the main tank and two that runs in parallel feeding from the surge tank. It was overkill for my build so i decided to go for one huge flowing pump instead.

Ha! Adonay, just schooled me. you're right, 3 pumps including the one that feeds the swirl. I forgot about that one. 044 isnt needed for that since there's no back pressure, but he still might have one doing that too. So 3 044's is just possible.

I guess he will use the last pump in the stock location although with a build like this i might be wrong.

Swirl pot setup with the stock tank works ok, I ran a very similar setup in the tyre well for a while to overcome fuel starvation in corners before fuel cells became mandated in our categories. Did you ever consider just going to a cell with internal pump Pat?

Maybe the third 044 is just for pumping beer to the driver from that beer keg cleverly disguised as a swirl pot….

BTW - low pressure high volume pumps made for carbed cars make better transfer style pumps

BTW2 – I always get a little jealous when I see the Aussie down pipes – not have that damn steering shaft there makes life a lot easier!
